On the afternoon of July 23, 2017, Wei Tiemin, President of Lishui Central Hospital, was invited to Zhejiang Benefit Pharmaceutical to give a special training lecture on "Fine Management" for the management personnel of the company's four business segments.

As an ancient saying goes, "You can know the whole leopard by looking at one spot." Nowadays, the principle of "amplifying the big and grasping the small" is strongly advocated in management, whose essence is to demonstrate the real prowess of management through details so as to better improve efficiency. President Wei has a set of effective management models in terms of fine management. In the training, starting from the fine management of the medical system and medical processes, he gave an in-depth lecture on the concepts and connotations of fine management in ten aspects: cadre development, administrative management, system construction, medical management, scientific research and teaching, information construction, talent training, performance management, environmental management, and cultural construction.

Management is an eternal theme for enterprise development, and the principle that "management focuses on details" is reflected throughout the complex management process of enterprises. President Wei mentioned that in the management process, he only focuses on two things: "strategy and details". Small details reflect the comprehensive management level and show whether a seemingly simple task can be done to a "high standard", which has value beyond its superficial phenomenon.

In the development of cadres for enterprise fine management, two "key points" should be well handled: middle-level cadre management and performance management. "If a hospital is compared to a person, the president is the brain, the middle-level cadres are the backbone, and the staff are the limbs. Only when the brain, backbone and limbs coordinate efficiently can the person be energetic and do a good job." President Wei said that the same applies to enterprises.

Implementing fine management is a requirement for the in-depth development of management and an inevitable choice for improving management level. In administrative management, a clear work thinking should be established: building systems, setting standards, refining management, evaluating performance, ensuring safety, and promoting development. In management, it is better for cadres to take the initiative rather than be passive.

Only when all employees participate and start from themselves can fine management be implemented, giving full play to its role and achieving the strategic goal of improving management quality.
