On the afternoon of August 3, 2017, Mao Shixue, Deputy Director of Lishui Municipal Development and Reform Commission, Fang Yaoting, Director of Municipal Health and Family Planning Commission, and their entourage visited Zhejiang Benefit Pharmaceutical to conduct research on the price policy of Chinese herbal pieces. Accompanied by senior leaders of the company, Deputy Director Mao, Director Fang and their entourage inspected various production workshops and traditional Chinese medicine dispensing centers of the enterprise, gaining an in-depth understanding of the production process of Chinese herbal pieces and quality control measures. At the symposium, Chairman Wu Lihua made a detailed report on the company's development, the production of Chinese herbal pieces by Zhejiang Benefit Pharmaceutical, the quality control standards of the pieces, and the screening and control of raw materials.

The chairman stated that Chinese herbal pieces are commonly used drugs for disease prevention and treatment by the general public. Their authenticity and quality are directly related to the effectiveness of traditional Chinese medicine and affect the therapeutic effect of diseases. If there is a problem with the quality of the pieces, it will be difficult to exert the due therapeutic effect of the pieces, delay the condition, and may even have the opposite effect, making the disease more serious and even endangering the patient's life. As a new manufacturer of Chinese herbal pieces, the company always adheres to strict quality control, abides by credit and laws in operation, always regards quality as the lifeline of enterprise development, ensures the production quality of Chinese herbal pieces, and guarantees the safety of public drug use. At the same time, he put forward three ideas on the construction of the price system for Chinese herbal pieces: stabilizing prices, ensuring quality, and promoting people's well-being.

Director Fang said that through the investigation of the actual production workshop of herbal pieces, he had changed his original perception that the production environment of herbal piece manufacturers is poor. Through checking the whole process, he felt the enterprise's attitude towards quality control and process management.

"In order to implement the spirit of the document 'Notice on Strengthening the Price Management of Chinese Herbal Pieces and Other Relevant Matters' (Zhejiang Price Medicine 〔2017〕 No. 66) issued by the Provincial Price Bureau and other four departments, and to establish a regular release system for the wholesale prices of Chinese herbal pieces in Lishui as soon as possible, the Municipal Development and Reform Commission, together with the Municipal Health and Family Planning Commission, jointly carried out the research on the price policy of Chinese herbal pieces," Director Mao stated the main purpose of this research. In addition, he fully affirmed the enterprise's attitude towards quality control through on-site visits, and said that it would formulate a standardized mechanism system based on the actual situation of the research, combined with clinical practice in hospitals and the actual situation of enterprises, and strive to promote the development of traditional Chinese medicine in Lishui.
