On June 30, Chuzhou Chinese Medicine Clinic visited Lishui Open University as scheduled to carry out the public welfare Chinese medicine free clinic activity on campus themed "Caring for Faculty and Staff's Physical and Mental Health".

Pulse diagnosis, tuina physical therapy, blood pressure measurement, health preservation consultation... We presented a thoughtful "health package" to all faculty and staff. The venue was bustling with people, and teachers came one after another to experience the services. The consultation desks were fully occupied throughout the whole morning without a single idle moment.

On the day of the event, the physician team from Chuzhou Chinese Medicine Clinic set up consultation zones and Chinese herbal medicine exhibition areas in the campus hall to provide one-stop traditional Chinese medicine services for faculty and staff.

Multiple physicians offered consultations simultaneously in the consultation zone. Teachers took their seats in line to receive pulse checks and blood pressure tests. Those suffering from cervical and shoulder discomfort received on-site tuina and tendon regulation treatments. One teacher shared her feedback after shoulder and neck tuina: "My shoulders feel much looser right away. I spend too much time sitting over my desk every day, so treatments like this are exactly what I need."

The Chinese herbal medicine exhibition area was equally lively. Chinese medicinal herbal teas and TCM derivative products were neatly displayed. Many teachers gathered around the booths to inquire about their efficacy and usage, and our staff patiently answered every question.

After half a day of free consultations, three prevalent health issues among faculty and staff were identified:

Pulse Diagnosis, Physician Consultation

Cervical, Shoulder, Waist and Leg Pain: Long hours of sitting to prepare lessons and hunching over homework grading lead to varying degrees of soreness in the neck and shoulders for nearly every teacher. On-site tuina therapy was the most popular service, delivering precise manipulation and immediate relief.

Shoulder & Neck Tuina and Tendon Regulation

Weak Spleen and Stomach: Irregular eating schedules and heavy work stress take the greatest toll on the digestive system. The herbal teas and TCM health products at the exhibition booth drew the most inquiries, with many teachers learning personalized conditioning plans suited to their physical conditions.

Sleep Disorders: Heavy workload pressure coupled with irregular daily routines have caused widespread insomnia and difficulty falling asleep. Based on each individual’s physical state, physicians offered personalized TCM conditioning advice and healthy lifestyle guidance.
