On December 15th, Shao Yuanchang, Chairman of Zhejiang Pharmaceutical Association; Chen Yuehua, Supervisor of Zhejiang Pharmaceutical Association; and Wang Zhian, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of Zhejiang Pharmaceutical Association, went to the Tetrastigma hemsleyanum Demonstration Planting Base in Nankengyuan Village, Songyang County to conduct a research activity, aiming to understand the construction of the Good Agricultural Practice (GAP) base for Chinese medicinal materials. Leaders including Zhou Jirong, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of Lishui Municipal Market Supervision Bureau; Lan Yuecha, Director of the Drug Production Supervision Department of Lishui Municipal Market Supervision Bureau; Xu Weimin, Director of Songyang County People's Congress; and Wu Lihua, Chairman of Zhejiang Benefit Pharmaceutical, accompanied the research.

The research team entered the "Jiangnan Medicine Valley" and listened to the introduction of the development plan of "Jiangnan Medicine Valley" on site. Songyang County has earnestly implemented the deployment and requirements of Lishui City for the development of the big health industry, vigorously promoted the high-quality and efficient cultivation of Chinese medicinal materials, and produced authentic Chinese medicinal materials. Among them, Benefit Pharmaceutical covers an area of more than 70 mu, planning to build a Tetrastigma hemsleyanum GAP planting demonstration base. At the same time, it has signed a guaranteed purchase agreement with the government to help drive the development of primary industry and boost the rural economy.

Accompanied by Xu Weimin, Director of Songyang County People's Congress, and other leaders, Chairman Shao Yuanchang and his party went deep into the fields and visited the Songyang Tetrastigma hemsleyanum medicinal material base.

Chairman Shao Yuanchang and his team conducted an on-site inspection of the understory planting base of Tetrastigma hemsleyanum to understand the understory cultivation mode. They analyzed the opportunities and existing problems in the development of the Chinese medicinal materials industry, and put forward valuable experience and guidance on the ecological planting of Chinese medicinal materials, product deep processing, and industrial chain development.

Subsequently, Chairman Shao Yuanchang and his team visited the planned and under-construction Tetrastigma hemsleyanum GAP base of Benefit Pharmaceutical. Chairman Wu Lihua introduced that Benefit Pharmaceutical has four major sectors: industry, commerce, agricultural planting, and traditional Chinese medicine medical care. Among them, Zhejiang Yilv Modern Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd., under the agricultural planting sector, is a traditional Chinese medicine whole-industry-chain company integrating improved variety breeding, GAP base cultivation, deep processing, product research and development, and sales services. It attaches importance to scientific research investment in breeding and planting to ensure the efficiency and stability of products. Afterwards, a detailed report was made on the germplasm, seedling raising, planting management, harvesting, and on-site processing of Tetrastigma hemsleyanum. Zhejiang Pharmaceutical Association gained a detailed understanding of the industrial development planning and layout of Benefit Pharmaceutical's GAP planting base. Chairman Wu Lihua stated that it is hoped that through the joint efforts of the government and enterprises, industrial forces can be gathered to advance the Tetrastigma hemsleyanum industry towards a scale of tens of billions and even hundreds of billions.
